Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - June 15, 2021. OFZ Curve to Continue Flattening in Wake of CBR's Hawkish Rhetoric
The focus today will be US data, including prints for industrial production, retail sales and the PPI in May. We think trading on the Moscow Exchange should nevertheless be tepid, as investors are looking ahead to tomorrow's Fed decision and the Putin-Biden meeting. In our view, by the end of the week the ruble could reach 70-71 if the geopolitical situation remains stable and the Fed stays rather dovish.
