The focus today turns to the ECB, which will meet to decide on monetary policy and is due to publish updated economic forecasts. Considering the recent rise in bond yields within the eurozone, the dimming economic outlook for Europe as the third wave of Covid-19 sets in and also how slow vaccinations have been, the ECB could expand PEPP, possibly by EUR0.5 trln (from the current EUR1.85 trln), and also extend the program.
