Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - May 30, 2019
The ruble was quite volatile as exporters' FX selling was minimal. This morning, it is trading a bit weaker, underperforming EM peers, which are mainly up, while the oil price is also rising. The local currency thus looks quite vulnerable at the moment to a deterioration in risk sentiment, which could emerge if trade war tensions continue to worsen.
