Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - October 13, 2020
The US will release September inflation data today, with the risks seen as being to the upside - meaning a bit higher than the consensus forecast of 0.2% - as recent US economic data has been rather strong . In addition, 3Q20 earnings season will kick off today, with JPMorgan and Citigroup to report, and the positive momentum in the US economy in 3Q20 could translate into better than expected earnings. We see the local currency turning around its early losses and advancing to 76.7, where we think it will manage to settle.
