Yesterday's August PMIs for the US and Europe came in quite strong, which points to the fact that global economies are recovering fairly quickly. Furthermore, yesterday's release of weekly US jobless claims indicated a further recovery in employment, a trend that today's monthly jobs report may confirm. A further stabilization of the geopolitical backdrop would benefit the ruble.
