MARKET COMMENT - KUDLOW'S "SHORT STROKES" BOOST GLOBAL SENTIMENTMarkets continued to edge lower around the globe yesterday, the MSCI EM shrinking 0.2% and the DM benchmark edging down 0.1%. Russia performed in line with peers, the RTS edging down 0.1% to 1,437. A lack of new catalysts allowed markets to continue drifting gently downward, until US chief economic advisor Larry Kudlow verbally intervened in markets, telling reporters that an initial trade deal with China was "down to the short strokes," meaning it was nearly complete. Of course, markets have heard such claims more than once over the past year.
