CIS EUROBOND MARKETQuotes on Russian sovereign Eurobonds ended the day significantly higher yesterday amid an improving external environment. The Russia 47 (+0.7 pp) gained the most, followed by the Russia 42 (+0.5 pp).GOVERNMENT DEBTOn the OFZ market, the bid was dominated by nonresidents throughout the day, and this demand was largely met by selling from local investors, probably banks. It strengthened late in the day, especially at the long end of the curve, after Fed Chairman Powell's comments that were taken to signal upcoming rate cuts. Yields closed 4 5 bps lower in the middle of the curve and 8-9 bps lower further out. Turnover reached R32 bln, with R9 bln going though in the 15y OFZ 26225.
