Debt Markets Today - September 20, 2021. Oleg Tinkov Settles US Tax Claims
CIS EUROBOND MARKETRussian sovereign Eurobonds traded more or less flat on Friday. Selling predominated near the middle of the curve, where the Russia 28 posted a 0.2 pp loss. GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields moved slightly lower early in the day on Friday, but were unable hold at the lower levels following a correction in global bond markets and EM currencies. OFZ yields ended up finishing the day 2-4 bps higher. Nonresidents were closing positions in medium- and long-dated paper. Trading volumes on the Moscow Exchange totaled R31 bln, two thirds of which came in medium- and long-dated paper. EM peers showed a similar result, with 10y benchmark bonds generally closing 2-8 bps higher in yield.
