Ukrainian Sovereign Debt - A Big Day in Kyiv
Today, the Rada finally passed the anticorruption court bill. It also fired, at the request of PM Volodymyr Groysman, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danylyuk, a move that was widely expected. While it remains unclear whether the bill will satisfy the IMF, its passage overshadows investors' concerns over the ouster of Danylyuk. If the bill meets the fund's criteria, we would expect to see the realization of the optimistic scenario we outlined in our recent note "Tumultuous Times for Ukrainian Assets."
