MARKET COMMENT - US-CHINA TRADE THREATS, ALIPAY HEADLINES DRAG ON GLOBAL SENTIMENTAfter an ambiguous early part of the day, markets began retreating on the US open. US-China trade threats and US PPI were blamed, though we note longer-running structural concerns that had concerned markets over the week. The MSCI ACWI fell 0.3% while the RTS was flat at 1,725. Negative headlines regarding Alipay and other Chinese tech regulation issues have pressured APAC markets today, though indicators elsewhere are slightly positive. The Duma elections, today's OPEC report, and ample Chinese and US macro releases are in focus this week.
