Debt Markets Today - October 1, 2021. Russian Budget to Run Surpluses, in 2022-23, VTB IFRS Numbers for August

CIS EUROBOND MARKETRussian sovereign Eurobonds were once again in the red yesterday. The biggest turnover was seen in the 2029 and 2035 issues. The largest decline in price came in the Russia 35 (-0.6 pp) and the Russia 47 (-0.5 pp). GOVERNMENT DEBTFollowing the disappointing inflation report on Wednesday, OFZ yields moved higher yesterday. Unsurprisingly, OFZs maturing in up to 4y were hit the hardest, with yields adding 5-15 bps on the day. Long-dated paper, meanwhile, added just 1-4 bps in yield, as bids for these issues were seen from both nonresidents and locals.
