Weekly Fund Flows - Shifting Pattern in Russia Allocations
Weekly EM outflow steepened to $2.0 bln (0.16% of sampled AUM) in the period to May 30 from a $0.6 bln outflow the preceding week, according to EPFR Global. This was the second week in a row and only the fourth week YTD of net outflow from EMs. Among BRICST, China ($490 mln, 0.11%) and Turkey ($21.0 mln, 0.12%) broke the pattern with net inflow. Russia (-$242 mln, -0.40%) was hardest hit in AUM terms, while India (-$395 mln, -0.28%) suffered most in absolute terms. Most interesting in the Russian numbers was a shifting pattern in Russia-dedicated funds.
