Vermilion Macro Vision: Transportation Sector Synopsis
Transportation Sector: Overweight. A number of the rail stocks are have developed bases and are now a leadership group within the Sector. We would use any pullback in the rails as an attractive entry point. Attractive names include: UNP, NSC, CSX, CP and CNI. We would continue to view this as a positive sign for the U.S economy. Airline stocks are taking off with many breaking to price and RS highs. We would be buyers on pullbacks as many of these are short-term extended. Names that are technically attractive include: DAL, UAL, AAL, LUV, JBLU, CPA, and GOL. Group TR-12 Trucking, Large-Cap continue to exhibit technically attractive constituents. Names that are technically attractive include: ODFL, LSTR, KNX, and SWFT. Group TR-15 Airlines, Europe/U.K. also remains a leadership group and we continue to recommend European related names over their U.S. counterparts as we see a game of catch-up being played on overseas markets. Attractive names include: RYAAY, ICAGY, DLAKY and AFLYY.
