6PM Call: Fell short in the ATC session
The strong rise of the US stock market last night seemed to have strong impact on Vietnam stock market. Indices simultaneously gained since the beginning of the session. Nonetheless, selling force gradually increased, causing the indices to stumble. Market made effort to increase strongly again in the afternoon but the ATC session blew away the result. At the end of the day, VN-Index only gained by 2.08 points (0.22%), closing at 968.91. HNX-Index even closed in the red at 101.98 (down 0.31 points, or 0.3%). Liquidity decreased slightly to below the average level. Gainers were about that of decliners.
