6PM Call: Negative Sentiment Reflected More Clearly - Update on IDICO, REE
If only ROS movement came to a stop, the VNIndex (837.28 points, -0.94%) would reflect more truly what happens in the market. Losers continued to dominate both the VNIndex (87 advancers vs. 185 losers) and the VN30 (6 advancers vs. 21 losers). The drop of market indices was worsened by ROS as the stock pulled the VNIndex down by 1.3 points. The brighter side was that liquidity was low, indicating that the sell-off sentiment still has not appeared.
Considering that the VNIndex is distorted by a small number of stocks, the question whether the VNIndex may reach a new record high or not, becomes meaningless. Besides, the current negative market sentiment makes us believe that it is very risky to enter into the market now. Therefore, we recommend risk-averse investors should limit opening of new positions and wait for clearer buying signals.
