6PM Call: The VN-Index Reached a New Record High Level - Banking Update

The VN-Index surged up at the beginning of today’s session and closed at a record gain of 10.28 points (+1.4%). Although the number of gainers and decliners is on par, impressive performances of large caps including PLX (+6.9%), GAS (+3.9%), VNM (+1.6%) and banking stocks made the session become exciting. The market continued to witness a high liquidity (the trading value on the HSX reached VND5,000 billion) and strong inflows from foreign investors, which is VND467 billion mainly flowing to ROS, PLX, VNM, HCM and HBC.
