·         Compare with the last two bear market periods, the current liquidity change fell below the 18-19’ (43%) and 19-20’ (78%).

·         According to our statistics, Individual investors, the major players in the market who accounted for 80% to 90% of the total market trading value were less active in selling with lower net selling value overtime as market witnessing a strong correction.

The decline in the value of order matching transactions in the market has been lower in compare with 18-19’ or 19-20’ (Covid-19)

Since VN Index reached the peak at 1,528 in April 2022, VN-Index has corrected 22%. Total matching orders value was only VND 49 trillion on average, about 38% of the previous high level. In our opinion, the current sudden drop in liquidity was partly due to eased selling pressure form margin call and behavior shift from short-term trading to long-term hold as investors ‘s position experienced loss exceeding the thresholds that they want to cut. Compare with the last two bear market periods, the current liquidity change fell below the 18-19’ number (43%) and 19-20’ number (78%) (Table 1).
