After gaining slightly in the morning, the VN-Index ended with an approximate 0.4% decline. Decliners outnumbered gainers for the VN-30 Index, although it only lost 0.01% thanks to the rise of GAS, VIC, MSN, HPG and HSG. Small and mid-cap stocks witnessed a greater decline, as the VNMID lost 0.43% and VNSML lost 0.53%. Bank, rubber, and textile stocks underperformed today. Liquidity continued on a downward trend experienced since the beginning of the week, as trading turnover was VND1,760 billion on the HSX and VND300 billion on the HNX. At the close, the VN-Index fell 0.42% to 664.15 points, while the HNX-Index fell 0.57% to 79.79 points.
