The Market Advanced to 680 Thanks to Leading Tickers

The VN-Index increased modestly in the morning (+ 0.52%), and also advanced in the afternoon, ending at a month high of 681.91 points (+1.13%). Despite this gain, market breadth was neutral with 129 gainers versus 121 losers, indicating that the gain was significantly contributed by leading tickers (ROS, VNM, GAS, and banking stocks). The VN-30 rose by 0.77%, while the VNMID (+ 0.05%) and VNSML (-0.09%) experienced negligent changes. Speculative stocks such as ITA, FIT, TTF, HHS, TSC, and VHG, were among the stocks that benefited the most from the market momentum. Liquidity remained stable, as the trading turnover was around VND2,000 billion and VND330 billion on the HSX and HNX, respectively.
