WOOD Flash – Echo Investment: buys 66% of the voting rights in Archicom for PLN 425m

Echo is buying 66% of the ordinary shares in Archicom, the leading residential developer in Wroclaw. Via this transaction, Echo will become a leader in the residential market in Poland. We believe the transaction makes strategic sense, and the price does not strike us as too expensive, considering where the other pure-play residential developers in Poland are trading. That said, we believe that Echo may decide to withhold dividends from its 2020 profit, especially if it does not close the sale of its high-profile Brewery offices in the next few weeks. If this is the case, we cannot rule out that the share price may come under pressure in the near term. At the time of writing, Echo was up around 6-7%, in response to the news.
