1Q results – record-high CCS EBITDA at EUR 229m

Hellenic Petroleum continues to be a major beneficiary of the buoyant margin environment in the Mediterranean region, with its 1Q record-high CCS EBITDA of EUR 229m. Refining volumes and margins increased; sales volumes rose, boosted by exports; the further diversification of crude oils contributed to earnings; and leverage continued to look more sustainable, with net debt/EBITDA down to 2.27x versus 3.46x a year ago. In addition, low gas prices boosted earnings from associates, which have been negligible in recent years.
