WOOD Flash – OMV: to acquire a further 39% of Borealis
OMV has announced that it is in negotiations to acquire a further 39% of petrochemicals company Borealis from Mubadala, for a price of USD 4.68bn. Prior to this transaction, OMV had a 36% stake in Borealis. Borealis is a global chemicals business, with a leading position in polyolefins and fertilisers in Europe and joint ventures in the UAE and the US.OMV is an international energy company with activities in Exploration and Production (E&P), Refining and Marketing including petrochemicals (R&M), and Gas and Power (G&P). Co. explores and develops oil and gas resources and supply energy to over 100 million people.
