Avantium completed the capital raise, bringing in EUR 70mThe fresh capital should be sufficient to complete the construction of the FDCA flagship plant and for day-to-day operations and even scale up the Volta Technology plant from a pre-pilot to pilot scale. The capital increase substantially improves the risk profile of the company, and we expect a relief today. We move our rating back from UR to Buy. TP set at EUR 4.00 to reflect the dilution, partially offset by the improved risk profile.Avantium NV Formerly known as Avantium Holding BV. Renewable Chemistries is the development division with a portfolio of projects focusing on the conversion of biomass to chemical building blocks and plastic materials. The YXY segment comprises the activities of Syviana, the joint venture with BASF SE. The YXY technology is used to convert plant-based sugars into chemical building blocks for plastics, such as polymer polyethylenefuranoate (PEF), and other applications.
