bpost 2Q22: cost savings result in strong adj. EBIT beat, upgrades outlook

Bpost reported a very good set of result, beating consensus estimates on total operating income and adj. EBIT by respectively 2% and 17%. The operating income was mainly driven by another strong performance at Radial US while various cost saving initiatives and increased sales effort resulted in a nice adj. EBIT at Belgium. Although the macro headwinds continue, bpost seems confident to up its outlook, expecting only up to € 25m downside risk to its earlier set € 280-€ 310m adj. EBIT guidance, whereas this was previously up to € 40m.
