AIA Surprises Market With Record-High NBV Growth
AIA Group's first-quarter financial highlights surprised the market with 53% year-on-year new business value growth since the 2010 initial public offering. This was attributable to smaller negative currency impact and strong annualized new premium growth of 62% on a constant exchange rate, versus 36% and 23% growth in the year-ago quarter, respectively.
