Consumer demand and government mandates drive Autoliv's growth in emerging markets.

Narrow-moat Autoliv, a leading supplier of safety components as well as advanced driver assist systems to the global automotive industry, reported earnings per share before special items, or EPS, of $2.22, an impressive $0.35 better than the consensus of $1.87 and a whopping $0.74 higher than last year's EPS of $1.47.
