Narrow-moat BRP grabbed incremental market share again in its first quarter, outgrowing the industry in side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft, indicating that research and development efforts are gaining traction with consumers and supporting the firm’s brand intangible asset. Total sales rose 16% to CAD 1.14 billion with year-round products (41% of 2017 sales) handily outpacing our mid-single-digit expectation, rising 33% to CAD 526.6 million as side-by-side ...BRP is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of powersports vehicles and propulsion systems. Co's diversified portfolio of brands and products includes Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Sea-Doo personal watercraft ("PWCs"), Can-Am all-terrain vehicles ("ATVs"), side-by-side vehicles ("SSVs") and Spyder roadsters, and propulsion systems composed of Evinrude outboard engines and Rotax engines for jet boats, karts, motorcycles and recreational aircraft. Additionally, Co. supports its line of products with a dedicated PAC business.
