Core Laboratories' Shares Hit by Weak Results and Cautious Near-Term Outlook
Core Laboratories reported sequentially flat earnings that were slightly lower than management’s prior reported guidance, which led to shares selling off as investors now fear it will be a good bit longer before the firm’s results begin to meaningfully recover. In addition to lower earnings, the company elected to keep fourth-quarter guidance flat, in what seems to have been perceived as a more conservative outlook for oil and gas investment.
