DFM delivered Mixed 2016 Result with Honda JV Drive Profit Growth; FVE Maintained at HKD 12.5

Dongfeng Motors, or DFM, delivered a mixed 2016 result, with 16% year-on-year net income growth to CNY 13.5 billion in line with our estimate, while the 3.3% year-on-year top-line decline to CNY 122 billion was below our estimate. The company’s proprietary brand’s razor-thin margin still weighs on the bottom line, but this is largely offset by the robust joint venture, or JV, performance (mainly with Honda).
