In the face of sluggish sales, narrow-moat Kraft Heinz brews up brand spending.
It appears the market's patience is growing thin with Kraft Heinz, which has posted another quarter of languishing sales. Fourth-quarter revenue was down 60 basis points as a 1% benefit from higher prices was more than offset by a 1.6% hit from lower volume and unfavorable mix. Margin improvement was more muted in the quarter as well, with operating margins edging up 80 basis points to 27.1%.
