STE's First-Half 2016 Result In Line; Aerospace and Electronics Remain Key Growth Drivers

Singapore Technologies Engineering's, or STE’s, first-half 2016 result was broadly in line with our expectations. Net income dropped 7% year over year to SGD 238 million, owing to persistent weakness in the marine sector, while group revenue increased 6% year over year to SGD 3.25 billion as robust growth in the aerospace and electronics sectors offset tepid sales in the land systems and marine segments.
