Stronger Derivatives Turnover Underpins Singapore Exchange's 2Q Result

Narrow-moat Singapore Exchange maintained a reasonably strong second-quarter result, underpinned by stronger derivatives turnover. Net profit of SGD 88.3 million in the second quarter was steady against the year-ago period and largely in line with SGD 90.7 million in first-quarter 2018. While our full-year forecasts are slightly ahead of the year-to-date result, we maintain our forecast, as we anticipate a more buoyant capital market in second-half fiscal 2018.
