Tesla Raising Capital for the Second Time In 2017
During Tesla’s Aug. 2 earnings call, CEO Elon Musk said the company was considering issuing debt soon but not equity. Tesla announced on Aug. 7 that it is proposing a $1.5 billion offering of senior unsecured notes due in 2025. The press release makes no mention of the notes being convertible, which would be new for the company, but terms and pricing will be determined later.
