Vodafone Improves Spectrum Positioning in India by Spending EUR 2.74 Billion in Auction
Vodafone announced results from the recent Indian spectrum auction. We are pleased with the restraint the firm showed in not acquiring low bandwidth spectrum at the very high prices India was requiring. The firm paid EUR 2.74 billion ($3 billion) for 2 x 82.6 MHz FDD and 200 MHz TDD spectrum across the 1800, 2100, and 2500 MHz bands.
