WR Berkley Finishes the Year on a Solid Note and Showcases Its Stability
WR Berkley's fourth-quarter results were essentially in line with last year’s results, and we believe the company’s full-year results highlight its relative stability compared with peers. ROE for the quarter and the year were 12% and 11%, respectively, and we believe the company’s ability to earn a modest excess return during a period when the overall industry results have been rocked by outsized catastrophe losses supports our narrow moat rating.
