Robust High-End Baijiu Demand During Chinese New Year as Volume and Price Continued to Rise
We saw robust demand for the high-end baijiu market during the peak season (the Chinese New Year holidays) as both sales volume and retail prices continued to escalate. The wholesale price of 53-degree Flying Moutai increased about 15% to CNY 1,150 per bottle, and that for 52-degree Wuliangye increased nearly 5% to CNY 760 per bottle. Owing to stronger-than-expected demand, the peak season this year started in early January, which was two weeks earlier than in the past two years. We note that so...Wuliangye Yibin is engaged in manufacture and sale of "Wuliangye" liquors and other series of alcoholic drinks.
