A major trend break in the transformation of economies towards services?

Since the early 2000s, the weight of services in production in OECD countries has increased sharply as a trend at the expense of manufacturing industry. Could we see a break in this trend and an increase in the weight of industry? Such an increase could come from: Production of equipment for renewable energies; Digitalisation of the economy, working from home, etc.; Investments in infrastructure; Reshoring. A higher weight of industry would: Improve the quality of jobs; Increase commodity consumption, and could lead to lasting bottlenecks; Increase investment needs and help drive up real interest rates.
