Are we seeing the emergence of "Dutch disease" in the United States and the euro zone?

Dutch disease is a situation where prices of services relative to prices of industrial products rise, which causes a shift in the economy from industry to services, since it is more profitable to produce services than industrial products. Dutch disease is the result of an increase in demand for services; it may also be due to weak industrial production, either due to weak demand for industrial products, or due to a loss of competitiveness for the country's industry relative to industries in the rest of the world. We see that all the characteristics of Dutch disease have been seen since 2014 in the United States, but not in the euro zone.
