Bad news: Financial markets do not yet expect US growth to slow

Since the summer of 2018, financial markets (equities, credit) have deteriorated considerably in the United States and the euro zone. The worrying point is that financial markets do not yet expect a significant slowdown in the US economy. Yet this slowdown will take place, if only because the United States is returning to full employment. There is therefore reason to fear that the financial market correction will be greater once the slowdown in the US economy is expected.
