Changes in political life in Germany: What will happen if, in addition, the economy deteriorates for a long time?

Political life in Germany is changing very rapidly: decline in the traditional parties (CDU, SPD), a ceiling for the greens (die Grüne ), rise in the extreme left (die Linke ) and the nationalists ( AfD ). Some commentators talk about a return to the Weimar Republic with a confrontation between the far left and the far right. There are reasons to be concerned that this change in Germany's political situation could be amplified by a lasting deterioration in Germany's economic situation. This is possible, given the long-lasting industrial recession caused by the contraction in the industries of the past (cars, chemicals, capital goods), the very large size of industry and exports, and the current presence of high disguised unemployment in German companies.
