Could French growth be strong in 2019?

The supply side is not conducive to vigorous growth in France in 2019, given the high level of companies ’ hiring difficulties . But i t has to be pointed out that the demand side will be positive due to: The fall in the oil price; The expansionary fiscal policy; The persistently very low interest rates. The stimulation of domestic demand in 2019 compared with 2018 will be around 1 . 3 percentage point of GDP. There is no reason to be too pessimistic about French growth in 2019, but we must obviously take into account the negative factors (slowdown in global trade, weak residential real estate sector , declining financial markets), and in particular the weak reaction capacity of supply (only 70% of the increase in demand turns into GDP).
