Could the United States survive without the rest of the world’s help?

The United States’ economic model presupposes that: The rest of the world will continuously finance the United States so that it can continue to have a savings shortfall; The rest of the world will use the dollar as its trade-invoicing currency, which increases the dominance of the US legal system; The rest of the world will send the United States its best students so that the United States can maintain the level of its universities and research centres; The rest of the world (except China) will tolerate the dominant positions of a small number of large US new technology companies. This means that the United States would not actually be in a position of strength vis-à-vis the rest of the world were a serious crisis to pit it against the rest of the world.
