Country Wrap-up : TUnisia

Tunisia remains a unique case of democrati c transition in the Arab world. Despite a difficult domestic and external environment, the Tunisian economic recovery should continue to slowly materialize in the coming years. Household’s purchasing power has kept eroding rapidly ( rising inflation, currency devaluation ), a situation that coupled with high unemployment rates, continue to feed social tensions. This will be an electoral year, legislative and presidential elections scheduled for December 2019 .
