Curiously, globalisation has not synchronised different countries’ inflation

We look at the degree of synchronisation of inflation between OECD countries, between emerging countries, and between all countries. We see that over time, the degree of synchronisation of inflation has decreased continu ously, which runs counter to the expected consequence of globalisation. There is now a specific national inflation factor despite globalisation.
