Donald Trump will not accept a recession in the United States

A recession is very unlikely in the United States, given: The low interest rates that ensure the solvency of all economic agents; The pre-emptively expansionary fiscal policy; The high level of corporate profitability that should boost investment and employment; The low inflation that is boosting purchasing power; The low interest rates that prevent a downturn in asset prices. But if, for a reason that is difficult to identify at present , a recession nevertheless were to break out in the United States, it is certain that the economic policy reaction would be very strong: even higher fiscal deficit, drastic rate cuts . If we are pessimistic, we can therefore imagine a scenario of strong economic policy reaction instead of a recession scenario .
