ESG: Investors and lenders have successfully asked companies to make progress on E, now they will focus on SG
Investors and lenders are asking companies to move towards a green model, to stop investing in "brown", and to commit to an energy transition path. With this milestone almost reached, investors and lenders will now be looking at the social impacts of companies and their governance. These include, for example: Hiring policies, particularly for young people; Gender equality and the absence of discrimination in hiring; Policies on remuneration, income sharing, and increasing low wages; Policies for sharing wealth accumulation between employees and shareholders; Policies towards the territories where companies operate; The effectiveness of corporate training policies. Companies will have to make progress on all these issues as they have made progress on the energy transition.
