EURO AREA FLASH PMI DELIVERED A MIXED PICTURE IN DECEMBER
The Euro area Flash composite PMI roughly came in line with expectations. The manufacturing component disappointed slightly in December while the services index improved more than expected. O n average, the Euro area economic situation, as well in manufacturing as in services activities has stabilized during the last three months of 2019. The development in order books and businesses expectations in services point s – in line with our expectations - to a gradual improvement in the first half of 2020 .
