Euro area June PMIs put a question mark on the recovery
The June PMI numbers disappointed across the board , pointing to a genuine worsening of the euro area economy at the start of the summer – though i t needs to be seen whether next month ’ s figures confirm this deterioration . In a n y case, the June PMIs show that one should not take the recovery (and its strength) for granted.
