Euro area PMI: economy remains in free fall
The April PMI figures recorded another sharp decline , as the containment measures that were enacted across Europe during March were hitting the economy hard. Sentiment in the manufacturing sector declined less pronounced than sentiment in the services sector , which remains more directly affected by the lockdown measures.
