For a job seekers’ union in France

The consequence of several economic policy decisions in France has been a fall in the employment rate and a rise in the structural unemployment rate, but they are positive for employees who have kept their jobs. These decisions include in particular: Very generous social welfare, leading to a very high weight of social contributions for companies; A very generous pension system; A high level of the minimum wage relative to the median wage. If co-determination (management of the social system by employers and trade unions) in France involved a union of the unemployed , or of those who do not have access to employment , the decisions taken would be more positive for the unemployed and less positive for employees who have a job.
